Setting the record straight

I just wanted to set the record straight because of some untruths going around. Many years ago when I got that lp from the kid in India that was the only source of income for his family and he was prostituting himself, God grabbed my heart for injustice in this world. When I was watching the unfolding freedom fight in Tunisia, I started adding Tunisian people on Twitter because our news was painting them as all Al Qaeda terrorists and I knew in my heart that was wrong. And I was right. So over the years I have been adding people on Twitter around the world, and following them in Livestream and other real time chats. I have found truths from the peoples lips that are living what we see in the news to be different than what we are seeing on the news. Everyone of them wants exactly the same thing we do...freedom from oppression and peace in their lands so they can raise their children in love and safety. I feel the same for ALL oppressed people and I care LESS about what government is doing it. Including America by the way. I have NO income right now, so any money that I do make by way of taking surveys or the few dollars my son gives me for watching his children, goes to Church Online. To get the message of Jesus Christ into every country we can. I do NOT send monetary support to ANY revolution groups. I support them with prayer and getting information out only. I do sometimes go overboard with the information, but I have 1500 friends that can actually DO something, be it only letter writing or sharing information. Knowing the truth about people we are bombing makes it that much harder to justify killing them, IMO. I totally understand that people will not agree with me and that's okay, I will fight for your right not to agree with me either. On the case of Israel and Palestine, I know that is a touchy subject because of the spiritual implications, but my Palestinian Christian friends make NO bones about the occupation and oppression of ALL Palestinians to the tune of apartheid, genocide and starving them all to death. The protest is against the Israeli GOVERNMENT policies and not against the Jews or Judaism. It has nothing to do with spiritual Zion, but a political movement that is hiding behind a spiritual movement. The protest against the American government for using OUR tax dollars to support this is against the government, not the American people. Once I came to understand that Muslims hate us (hence 9/11) because of our government policy of supporting the GOVERNMENT of Israel in killing Palestinians and talking to the people on the ground, Christians and Muslims, I joined with several Christian, Muslim and Jewish groups to help them FORCE the Israeli government back to the peace table. They all lived peacefully in that land for thousands of years before. They can again. I know about terrorists, we have them here too remember? There are nuts in every race and religion on this planet. We don't always hear of the terrorism that goes on every day in countries around the world because our news medias think it not newsworthy. But talking to people on the ground can sure open your eyes. All this to say, I do NOT condone terrorism of any kind (though I can understand why a lot of it happens now) but I also do NOT support ANY oppressive government. I don't care who it is or who it offends, I WILL stand with the people in overthrowing those governments. And if you ever doubt one person can do something, just today the Guardian (UK) fired an American journalist they had just hired for inciting hate in Israel in past tweets he sent out. All because of a letter writing campaign by people all over the world. People can and are making a difference. I don't expect everyone to become an activist, I just wanted to explain 'my' view of the things I do. I DO believe that becoming a believer in Jesus Christ as the son of God is the ONLY way to go to heaven, but that also gives me more accountability in the way I treat people of other faiths. Killing them will NOT get them saved...loving them will. *lovewins Thanks for letting me share. love you...mean it :)

I believe this way...therefore your theology is wrong

Seems to be most of what I read on the internet. I don't agree with that at all. The things I read (including differing translations of the Bible) shape my theology for 'me'. That in no way makes what 'you' believe or read or embrace as theology wrong. This journey in life is God revealing your relationship to YOU and only you, to me and only me. (I do understand about community, but this is different) I read a great blog post today that I agreed with so much, but there was that hint of comparable theology in it even so. It just bothers me. Why can't you tell your story without pointing out others 'faults'? http://graceemerges.blogspot.com/2012/06/perspective-driven-life-breath-of-fresh.html is the example today. I happen to love the perspective driven life idea and love everything that is after the comparing to purpose driven part. Now mind you, I don't know the author, they may not have been trying to say Rick Warren's theology is wrong, but that's how it came over to me. I'd rather read someones thoughts on something, without them comparing themselves and their theology to anyone else. Tell me what God's revelation to YOU is. Then let me absorb it and test it against God's revelation to me. I don't need to have someone telling me 'so and so is wrong' to get me to see their side. The Holy Spirit does a pretty good job of throwing stuff out I don't need in our relationship. I don't need you playing Holy Spirit Jr. I'll give an example in my life...because of the Arab revolutions, I became friends with many Arabs on the ground all over the world. There are some that tell their story while pointing out what is wrong with other perspectives, but they tell their story from their point of view. It's opened my eyes a lot. I share a lot of their stories around the internet. I don't expect people to say 'oh yeah you are exactly right' and abandon everything they ever thought otherwise, but I don't expect them to say 'you are wrong and damned to hell' either. God's revelation to you is just that...for you. I would in NO way tell you not to believe a certain way, not to go to a certain church, not to have certain friends etc. And I certainly don't need you to tell me that either. I am on the "call to a high level of awareness of the present and of the needs of other people, more as a partnership with God than as a fulfillment of a prescribed purpose."

"Love the sinner, hate the sin" pukes

I have read so many blogs over the last week that I literally threw up. Okay so it's a bug in our house, but anyway... My Facebook, which is where I spend most of my online time, is to me, the same as my house. ALL ARE WELCOME and all is fun. Life. is. fun.
